This portrayal of Edna St. Vincent Millay is not only a solid biography, 
but a finely crafted novel in itself. Bringing you through her 
artistically bohemian childhood through to her wildly aware college years 
and beyond, this is a book filled with a most vivid depiction of the 
poet's life while attempting to recreate her views of growing up on the 
east coast in Penobscot and attending school at Vassar. I would suggest it 
to anyone who enjoys biographies, literature, Millay's work, or early 20th 
century history.
